Cabaña de Cristal Rainforest, El Congo, La Fortuna

Our stay at Cabanas Caeli was perfect. Panlo is an outstanding host and a very kind man who will go beyond expectations to ensure you have a wonderful stay. He helped us organise day time activities, breakfast and dinner on site and taxi’s when we needed one.The jacuzzi was a favourite with the kids, not to mention stone painting and exploring the area. We loved the complementary fruit bowl with loc, fresh fruit. The setting is beautiful, waking up to hear animals and see the wonderful plants surrounding us. We would return in a heartbeat. The property was extremely well maintained and the landscaping was amazing. It felt like we were in the cloud forest. We certainly appreciated the trails along the creek on the property and the “El Congo” house was very accommodating for our group of nine. Pablo’s listing mentions needing an SUV or 4x4 to access the property, but due to a rental car mixup, we only had a 2wd SUV, but we were able to access the property. I wouldnt suggest trying that, get the 4x4! It was a beautiful location and we really enjoyed our time in LaFortuna.

This was the most incredible place to stay to get the full rainforest experience. Lots of animals, amazingly well kept property and hiking trails. We had a blast swimming in the middle of the rainforest in the swimming pool. Highly recommend! Pablo was an incredible host, very knowledgeable about the animals we saw And incredibly welcoming. It felt very safe here!

The cabin is great. The surroundings are absolutely stunning! We did enjoy it but I have a few suggestions. It does sleep 10 people but it is pretty cowded so I wouldnt recommend more than 6. We had 9 people .Also with no oven(there is a toaster oven) it is difficult to cook. Otherwise i definitely would tell anyone to stay here. Everything was clean and Pablo was very helpful when we had difficulty finding the gate. The hot tub was fun and the watering hole was spectacular!
